Harnessing The Power Of Pinterest In Your Marketing Efforts

platform that is not only filled with distraction, but is a perfect place (for some businesses) to post the content from their blogs. To get the most from Twitter — and it is a social media platform that is suited for any industry that can uncover graphics to help enhance its message — from accountants to dog groomers to insurance agents and every industry in between.

To truly harness the power of Pinterest you need to use graphics that lend themselves to a Pinterest Board — remember Pinterest is all about the visuals. You will originally put a visual in the content you’ve created on your blog then “pin” the image from the blog, along with a link back onto your Pinterest Board.

Here are three tips to make the most of Pinterest:

  1. Include a graphic from your blog post, and link back to your website. Great way to build cross traffic.
  2. Follow, comment and repin other’s pins. Remember, Pinterest at its most basic is a social media site — be social.
  3. Make certain your boards are named in a way to help build your SEO. Check your profile and tagline and make sure you’re using SEO. For example, if you want to be known as a pet blogger and be found as an entrepreneur your profile should proclaim that.
